What’s blooming in May
It’s time for the monthly round-up of what’s happening in the garden! It’s been a funny few weeks. The garden was all coming to life marvellously but the weather then took a turn for the cold, which damaged or killed quite a lot of emerging blooms. It happened immediately after I cut the lawn for the first time so I suspect the answer is to never cut the lawn again…The cold weather has also put me off getting out into the garden to be honest, so I still have a long to do list I haven’t got round to, including painting the fence, weeding, planting more veg, planting bulbs, pruning…. you get the idea.
How’s Your Garden Growing this month?
Last month I joined bloggers around the World for Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day and got lots of positive feedback. So thank you everyone who gave encouragement and advice to this novice gardener! I also posted when I first moved into The Creative Coastal Home, The Novice Gardener by the season: Winter, showing my garden by the seasons. This month I’m updating you on what’s in bloom in my English north-east coastal garden in Spring. Plants are starting to bloom – warning this post is photo heavy!
How’s Your Garden Growing?
Back in February I posted the first in my series: The novice gardener by the season, the Winter Edition. I moved to my Coastal Home at the end of January so I’ve just been discovering my garden. You’ll have to wait a while for the Spring Edition, where I’ll take you thorough what I’ve done so far, and the lessons learnt to date. In particular I’m trying to get some fruit and veg growing underway!
This month I’ve joined the Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day, hosted by May dreams gardens. Each month bloggers around the World post pictures of their gardens in bloom! Here’s my March Edition to give you a taste of how The Creative Coastal Home garden is looking.
